WELLS
BioFlo solvents can be safely deployed in oil and gas wells to eliminate and prevent the accumulation of paraffins and asphaltene. Each BioFlo blend is effective in deep wells and at extreme temperatures. BioFlo solvents serve as a replacement for harmful toluene and xylene based products.
PIPELINES
BioFlo solvents dissolve and inhibit the formation of paraffins and asphaltene that accumulate in pipelines that transport crude. Each blend is effective to -40 C/F , has a flash point of over 140 F, and a boiling point of over 370 F making BioFlo solvents an excellent choice for pipeline applications in extreme climates.
TANKS
BioFlo solvents are effective for the safe and efficient treatment of tank bottoms. BioFlo solvents liquify the sludge, allowing the solids to be filtered out and the new liquids to be monetized.
CLAY FORMATIONS
BioFlo solvents do not swell clay formations. They are a safe alternative to toluene and xylene based solvents which can be absorbed by clay.
OFFSHORE
BioFlo Eco 100 and Eco 200 solvents are non-toxic. Accidental contamination with BioFlo Eco solvents will have no harmful or long-lasting effects to aquatic ecosystems and wildlife environments.
LOW TEMPERATURES
BioFlo solvents are effective to -40 C/F. Toluene and xylene based products lose effectiveness at below freezing temperatures.
HIGH TEMPERATURES
BioFlo solvents have high boiling points that exceed most downhole temperatures allowing the product to stay in solution longer and work more effectively.
STEAM TREATMENTS
BioFlo solvents have flash points and boiling points. They stay in solution through steam treatments more effectively than volatile aromatic solvents.
PIGGING
BioFlo solvents clean pigs more effectively than aromatic solvents. The high flash points of BioFlo solvents translate to less evaporation in open cleaning environments. Additionally, BioFlo solvents do not saturate as quickly as aromatic solvents meaning a lesser quantity can be used to do the same work.
REFINING
BioFlo solvents are benign to the refining process. It can be safely added to crude without any additional steps required prior to entering the refinery.
TRANSPORT
BioFlo solvents can lower the vapor pressure of crude oil to make it safer for transport in railcars, trucks, and tankers.
